About HomeSolarDex

HomeSolarDex is a reference site for home batteries and backup power. Every figure carries the date it was read and a link to the document it came from.

What it publishes

Datasheet numbers for home batteries in the battery comparison, an outage estimate in the battery runtime calculator, and the status of programs that pay toward a battery in battery incentives. Where a document does not print a value, the table says so instead of filling the gap from another site.

How figures are sourced

Figures come from manufacturer documents and a few public agency pages. Derived numbers are our arithmetic and are marked. The rules are on methodology, and each document with its read date is on sources. If a figure no longer matches its source, the document link next to it is the first thing to check.

Affiliate policy

There are no affiliate links on the site today. If links that pay a commission are added later, they will carry rel="sponsored" and this section will say so. Commissions do not decide which products are listed or what the tables show.

Limits

The calculators give estimates. Nothing here is tax, financial or electrical advice. Sizing and installing a battery is work for a licensed electrician who follows NEC, local rules and the manufacturer's current documents, and tax questions go to a tax professional.
